How can you NOT have a clock?

I mean...even a cheap 4$ Westclocx windup jobbie would have done the trick
for the time being....

Or just rest your wristwatch or pocketwatch on the console. (That's what I
used to do when the other kids fooled with the clock inthe studio at
in coll-edj...)
