According to the FCC release on the matter, LPFM stations will be required
to broadcast a minimum of 36 hours per week.  They will be subject to rules
regarding sponsorship identification, political programming, prohibitions of
airing obscene or indecent programming, hourly call sign announcements
(WXXX-LP,) and will be required to fully participate in the Emergency Alert
System. Other common technical standards will also apply.

LPFM stations will not be subject to the FCC's main studio, ownership report
and public file requirements, nor will there be specified a minimum number
of hours of locally originated programs.
