That third simulcast era occurred after the SHO-FM split. Before SHO-FM,
98.3 had the calls WNYJ-FM which they were granted when they first signed
on. After the SHO split, they simulcast WTRY-AM for a period, and then 98.3
FM split off and went all 70s (Star 98.3??). After that failed, they
returned to a simulcast with WTRY-AM, which is where they stand today.
