NPR and PBS are not branches of the Govt. in the
same way that the CBC is.  CPB is a branch of the
U.S. Govt, but they are strictly a fundinag agency,
and do not produce any programming.  And, the local
stations affiliated with PBS and NPR are mostly run
by local foundations, whereas CBC owns all the
stations.

It's a totally different thing!
