Speaking about the Bruins on radio....
I would expect that the January 31st home game against Anaheim and the
February 1st away game at Ottawa will not be on WBZ-1030, but instead,
moved to another area radio station (maybe one of the CBS/Infinity
FM's?)
That is because the Iowa Caucuses wil occur the evening of January 31st,
and the New Hampshire primary is the next day.
With the Iowa caucuses occuring in the evening, should results not be
known until after 10 P.M., 'BZ could possibly run the game, then cut off
the postgame and go into caucus coverage. But I can't imagine WBZ
running a Bruins' game on the night of the New Hampshire primary, since
BZ's daytime signal covers the southern two-
thirds of the Granite State (unless they're painting their towers) and
night signal covers all of New Hampshire. Polls will close at 7
P.M.--the same time the game is due to begin, and given BZ's reputation
for news, I think it would be very dumb for them to air a sporting event
when the biggest story thus far of the 2000 Presidential Campaign is
happening within it's signal area.
