Re: WMGA (Was Re: 1150 call letters)

<standing ovation>
Dan,

As an 'aspiring engineer' who loves AM from the tail end of it's heyday
(I'm 37, grew up in Lowell, MA), I'm very enthralled with your posts.
I'm an electrician by trade, in the Navy with 2.5 years to go before
retirement. At WQAI/WYHI 1570 I've had the pleasure of being the only
technical-minded person at the station. That got me the chance to get my
feet wet technically being their first line of defense for engineering
issues as the CE lived out in Alabama.
We ran a 5/1kw Collins 21E that was once owned by WMEX 1510, and was
recently retired and now sitting in storage.

I hope to work toward becoming an engineer or technician once I retire
from the service, and always enjoy meeting engineers to talk shop and to
learn a few things....

So thanks a million for those posts. I sometimes learn a thing or two
from them!!!

Sincerely

Ron Gitschier
