RE: Jean Shepherd, RIP


This is terribly sad news.

I only discovered him in his last years of the WOR broadcasts, the
10:15-11:00PM shows.

Although his books, movies, tv shows, and magazine articles were
all fine, there was no one else who could do with radio what he
did. Telling a story in a way that's uniquely suited to the radio
experience is a very rare gift. It was the highest and best
example of using the one-to-one concept of radio to put people
through an experience.

I hope he had a good life.
