Thanks for posting this info Pete.  I was a listener
to Shepherd for many years, even though my parents
labeled him as sick.  I guess that's part of why I
listened, as a teenager rebelling against his
parents.

I also had the pleasure of seeing him in person when
he was the banquet speaker at a Hudson Division ARRL
convention many years ago.
