Channel 4 news got it wrong again tonight.  In the 11 PM newscast, they 
said that 1918 was the only time this century that the Red Sox have won 
the World Series.

Not so.  The Boston team (not yet called the Red Sox) won the first World 
Series in 1903 (I think) and won a few more after that.  The 1918 World 
Series is the last one, but not the only one, that the Red Sox won.
