According to my reckoning, the WPRO and WHJJ TXs are only about 1/2 mile
apart. Land must still not be that valuable down there (east side of
Naragansett Bay, well south of Providence and a very short distance from the
Mass line). These stations appear to be almost perfectly set up for
diplexing. Each station has a pair of widely spaced towers and the azimuths
are within (I think) three degrees. Both stations are DA-N with similar
night patterns. Believe it or not, the 920 towers are slightly taller than
the 630 towers (400' vs 380'). If someone were willing to pay the right
price for the 630 site, the setup looks tailor-made for 630 to move to the
920 site. I don't think 920 could very easily move to the 630 site because I
think that the 630 towers are too far apart for 920, but I think 630 could
create a night pattern very similar to its present one from the 920 site.
