Donna,
It's amazing, I wasn't aware of Arnie Ginsburg ever owning WSME! (before my
time)! A friend of mine said he owned a part of that and parts of several
other stations, I'm not sure of which.
There's no doubt that Bob Fuller and J.J. Jeffery are celebrities to us New
England broadcasters! I look at my mint copy of the 68/WRKO Now Goldens
compilation 2 vinyl set and, see the picture of J.J.Jeffery and say
"wow...this is my boss today!" It's so enjoyable to listen to him when he
tells old radio stories of the past. This is a man who breathes and eats
radio, not to mention teach us a thing or two about this business!
You can hear him read news(better then anyone I've heard in a long time)
and inter-act with "Merrideth In The Morning on WJBQ-FM (Q97dot9). He also
runs WJAB (BIG JAB) our AM sports combo and brought that to new heights!

And as I mentioned, Arnie Ginsburg used to own a piece of WSME in Sanford,
and Larry Justice owned a station on Cape Cod, didn't he-- WCIB, I think?
(I have the flu and I am not thinking very clearly about call letters
tonight...) I recall other Boston personalities owning stations too--
Fuller/Jeffrey, for example. These may not be 'celebrities' in the
national sense, but people like Arnie were VERY well known in New England,
so do they count?
