WZMX/ WDRC-FM / and "jammin' oldies' - ?

        At least twice in the 5-6 p.m. hour on Thursday the jock on WDRC-FM
referred to a song just played as "another jammin' oldie,"a phrase they've
never used in the past. One of them was the Freda Payne (sp?) song, Band of
Gold. This is after the recent statement by WZMX that it would be adding
more "jammin' oldies" (although I've never heard that on WZMX, so did they
use that exact phrase?)
         BTW, I have heard just about nothing on WZMX to indicate any
change in its music mix. Ditto on WDRC. My first take on 'DRC is that
they're trying to pre-empt use of the positioner, but maybe will tweak the
playlist if someone really does jammin' oldies in Hartford-New Haven (we
can only sit and hope). It sounded a little odd in the 'DRC format, though.
