Every time I see or hear the name Freeda Payne, I think of the comment made
by some Boston Radio personality (Norm Nathan, I think) after he played one
of her records (or is that "after he played her record"? Wasn't "Band of
Gold" her only hit?). He said, "Every time I hear that name, it makes me
think of a testamonial for an analgesic--ever since I've been using your
product, I been Freeda Payne." Hallelujah!
