Re: Stop the Narrow-casting



Narrowcasting is the trend in most areas of the media, radio, tv, and 
magazines.  With so many choices for entertainment and information, the days 
of one station serving the whole community are gone.  The name of the game 
today is attracting a specific demographic group and selling it to 
advertisers that want that audience.  The Internet and database marketing 
have also contributed greatly to this trend.   There may be flaws with this 
philosophy, but it's not going to change any time soon because the whole 
marketing industry today is based on narrowscasting and niche-marketing.
