I too knew Bill while working at WLYT in Haverhill...everything that Bill 
said in his post and more was true about Bill Heckbert.  He will be 
missed.  

As for a family fund, he was well known in Medford, being a resident and 
all.  I've put a call into the Chamber of Commerce here and awaiting a 
return call.  Someone there knows how to get in touch with the family.  
Will post more when I have more info.
