Howie's 2 minutes of fame



Just saw "A Civil Action"-- a good film. Howie Carr
is seen interviewing John Travolta near the beginning.
It was said on this group that the character Carr
was playing was really Jerry Williams, who had
interviewed Jan Schlictman (Travolta's character) in the mid 80s. Let
the record state, Your Honor, that in
said motion picture, Mr. Carr was billed in the
credits as "Radio Talk Show Host", not as "Himself"
or "Jerry Williams".

I must admit, though, that when Howie held up the
copy of Boston magazine in the scene, I expected him
to use one of Jerry's frequent lines: "Irving, can
you get camera three in on this?"  :)
