Sound differences

Is it my ear or is WKLB (99.5 Lowell) processing backed down a bit?  Sounds
softer, incr. dyn. range.  Noticing the same sound on WBOS (92.9 Brookline).

Curious what's in the chains at some of the newer installations around town
(without breaking any family secrets, of course!)  But, as we all know, it's
not what you have as much as what you do with it.
