I've heard it, and so has our audience as during morning
drive we take the final commercial at :04 - that in return
for playing the news minute at :20, which is also followed
by the same spot that runs at :04. Got to take one of those
and the on-hour was deemed less intrusive.

Anyway since we're live in morning and if I'm not quick
enough at hitting the mouse that phrase will run, which of
course isn't as bad as only half of it running which also
happens from time to time...sometimes it's hard to tell when
the news is done, since the newscasters, being human
(dubious decision on their part), don't always end exactly
at the same time. Trying to dump by computer on the exact
time hasn't been successful.

That useless phrase only started last year when they went to
generating the news from the CBS facility.

We had been running a Mutual newsminute at :40 in AM drive
as well but dropped it 'cause they started to get tagged as
CBS newscasts at the top and bottom, thereby confounding our
audience, and probably our competitors. One of those New
York things no doubt.
