Agreed re the locals -- though the sports question's different, not that
I've ever understood those rules. Albany was in Hartford's local NHL
market, fer gosh sakes, even though nobody here followed the Whalers and
none of the local systems carried FSNE.
Also, exclusivity can be a tad different sometimes due to local situations
- -- Albany is served by *two* UPN affiliates, and intentionally. There's a
low-power UPN affiliate in Albany that isn't on any cable systems and a
secondary affiliation with WYPX-55 Amsterdam, which airs the UPN shows at
11 PM after the prime-time Pax shows are done. Of course, the fact that UPN
has to rely on such things shows its weakness. :)
