And it still happens today.  Earlier this year, a dance song by the band
Brooklyn Bounce, "Get Ready To Bounce" had a couple of places where customized
drops were added.  WPXY-Rochester had a version which said "These are the
sounds of...Rochester Bounce" then the beat kicked in.  "Rochester Bounce..."
I almost fell off my chair laughing when I heard that.
