Poor taste in that interview! I too heard it, and was disappointed at the tact chosen.
The new exit has been underway for some time now, located between the 128 and 129 exits. Bridge footings and abuttments have been (and are being poured), and much grading has been done adjacent to the industrial park. It would appear that a new access road is being constructed into the industrial park.

Signs along the highway tell drivers which radio frequency to turn to for travel updates regarding this particular project. When it come time to hang the bridge girders that area will be a mess.
