UPN 38 Prime News Cancelled

WSBK-TV(CH 38) has announced that they have cancelled their nightly"UPN 38
Prime News" with the last broadcast scheduled for this Sunday(10/4).This
newscast was produced by New England Cable News,using NECN anchors and
reporters.Low ratings believed to be a significant factor,as well as CH
38's desire to focus on non-news programming.However,NECN and CH 38 have
agreed to airing news briefs during between period intermissions of Boston
Bruins Hockey games.This was reported in today's Boston Globe.
