Re: Troubles at WERS??

I know that WMFO has been community/student run for decades but over the past
few years, the students have been rebelling against the community members and
have tried to take away any control the community members had in the hopes of
turning it into just another college rock station.

One of the special things about WMFO is one of the only stations in the area
that ordinary people can get trained and learn to do radio without all the
commercial or free market pressures. Plus, over the summer, the station would
be dead if it weren't for the community.

As for WERS, it is a student station. Kids go to school there to work in radio
and media. What good would a communications college be if students couldn't
communicate on the college station? Oops, that is BU now.... Save 'ERS!!!
