It seemsthat WLLH(Lowell/Lawrence)is also updating their locally programmed
Adult Standards format, adding newer titles in recent weeks, while gradually
phasing out the older stuff. In fact,I haven't heard any Big Band tunes in
recent days either.A couple of quick examples:How Do I Live(LeeAnn Rimes)
Desperado(The Eagles) Love Can Make You Happy(Mercy). As well,Old Cape
Cod(Jerry Vale) I Wanna Be Around(Tony Bennett) Chances Are (Johnny Mathis)
also in the mix.I'm sure you will see the Birdfeed Standards formats will
have to do this as well over time in order to appeal to not only the
55+crowd,but the 25-54 audience as well. There will always be an
audience,IMHO,for Adult Standards.
