While scanning the TV dial this afternoon came across the last 10 minutes
of an"interview"program on WPXB CH 60 with Lowell"Bud"Paxson about the
debut of PaxNet programming on Aug 31.The show featured clips from the
various shows and movies they will carry(Touched By An Angel,Promised
Land,Fr.Dowling's Mysteries),most shows off network reruns of series that
have been cancelled by other networks(Touched By An Angel still first run
on CBS).Bud Paxson made it a point to repeatedly state how PaxNet will be a
family network,unlike the other networks.I don't expect them to be a huge
ratings success,IMHO,unless they venture into original first run
programming.Even so,with so much out there on TV,can they survive???Any
opinions?
