Yes, but if you think about it, isn't 90% of programming a commercial
anyway?  I mean, how many CDs or records would sell if it were not for
radio's incessant airplay of same?  And radio pays for that privilege, yet!

News-talk stations are always quoting the local newspaper(s), so that's a
free commercial.  Talk shows interview lots of authors that sell books that
way..the old Larry King show fetaured an author almost every night, so did
Jim Bohannon's show.

I got news, folks..Westwood One made money when books were sold; they always
offered the same phone number for orders, regardless of the publisher or
author. Just one of those inside secrets.
