Any speculation as to where they might show up next in this market?
Paper suggested getting hired back at WAAF by the new owners when they
take over.... What to stop ARS/CBS/Whatever from putting them on WBCN when
this deal is complete? >>
There are so many rumors about O & A floating around it's hard to keep track
of them all. First off, they guys just interviewed for the morning slot at
classic rock WKLS-Atlanta last week. They've also been rumored to be going to
WXRK (K-Rock in NY, Stern's home base) for afternoons, or possibly a drivetime
shift at WNEW New York. Other gossip has them going to WBCN once the merger
is officially done or even back to AAF, although I highly doubt that will
happen.
Here's an interesting scenerio. Maybe Mel will hire them at K-Rock, and
syndicate them to some of the other CBS modern rockers like, um..BCN.
Obviously, these guys have talent, or the majors would not be knocking on
their door as hard as they are. O & A are going to be able to write their
ticket, and it may or may not include Boston.
