The AM has a good signal south of Plymouth and on much of Cape Cod. During
the day, it's directionalized to the southeast to protect what was once the
AM 1390 in Athol, which has been on 700 for close to 10 years. If the owners
wanted to spend the money, which, clearly they don't (and for good reason,
I'd say), the daytime signal could be made to cover the South Shore quite
well. The station would be audible in Boston by day, but would not come in
well enough that anyone in Boston would be likely to listen.
