"Sales Person Wanted"

Lately I've been hearing a lot of these on-air 'want-ads'.

While they are becoming more common...I always think of the company as a
chinsy outfit that has to advertise for their own salespeople. 

If a station was a good one to sell, they would have people knowcking
down their doors to get on their salestaff...no?

If a station finds it so hard to hire and retain good salespeople...I
always think there has to be a problem somewhere below the surface....

Anyway, personally, I find these ads terrible unprofessional.  The
audience who is listening, shouldn't have to know about the 'sales
efforts' of the station....They just want to hear the programming.....
