WBZ Radio sports

Since we are talking about taped weather and taped Jack talks to David
stuff, how about the truly dumb idea that somebody came up with for the Bob
Lobel/Upton Bell sports show at 6 pm --- Bob suddenly leaves his radio show
right in the middle and goes over to WBZ TV to do his sportscast for TV
news.  Fine, you say.  But the TV sportscast is then simulcast over WBZ
Radio-- and it really sounds dumb.  Upton is left holding the fort on radio
with whoever the guest or caller is while Bob gives a TV description of
sports and ends with "Back to you, Kasey" as he hands off the TV news-woman.
Whose bright idea was this?  It sounds awful, and it really breaks the
rhythm of what is otherwise a fairly good radio sports/talk show...
