The comment Bob makes exemplifies the typical 1990s station (or any
business) owner. (Of course, Bob is atypical and I am not trying to
stereotype him.) Everyone is in business for the quick return, willing to
do whatever it takes to rake in immediate ratings. Anyone ever hear of
lasting power?
When you undertake a locally-programmed station it is going to take some
time to get people listening to it. Bob is right. It may take three, five,
seven, even ten years or so. But once your station has that local presence,
then it is hard for it to go away.
