Paxson's Must-carry Empire

It seems, according to Paxson,  Paxson Communications will take over
operation of (but not ownership of) WHRC Ch46 Norwell in June. That plus
WGOT Ch60 Merrimack guarantees quite a "must carry" exposure for the
infomercial broker. He claims 57% of cable households now (without Ch46) or
1,189,000 cable households out of 1,665,000 in the sixth largest (Boston)
market. He now can reach 56% of the American public and hopes to reach 70%
by the end of 1997. Can you believe the limit is 35% but UHF stations only
count one-half!
