So now you know.  I would think they changed call letters after George
Jaspert died-- he died fairly young, in fact; he was only about 60, but I
think lots of radio guys were heavy smokers back then.  Anyway, after
Jaspert died in 1960, the station passed to his wife and son, but
ultimately, they sold it and I assume that's when the call letters changed.
