Is the education system really this bad at teaching American government
these days? These are not judgments for the Supreme Court to make. The
Supreme Court was presented with a constitutional challenge to an act
passed by Congress. Its job was to decide whether Congress has the
constitutional power to require cable systems to carry all local stations
(Cable companies claimed it violated their first amendment rights). The
wisdom of the policy is for Congress to decide, not the courts.
