Because DOJ said they couldn't keep 1030 and still get antitrust 
approval for the whole transaction; 850, with close to zero revenue or 
ratings, wasn't much of a factor in the antitrust evaluation, and 
presumably being run in concert with 93.7 at almost zero expense still 
makes it net profitable for Entercom to keep, if only as an overflow 
destination for WEEI programming. If there had been any desire by 
another buyer to pay money for the 850 signal, it could just as easily 
have been spun - but who'd want it as a standalone?
