More correctly, it was the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division,
that forced the trade. Entercom would gladly have kept WBZ(AM) along
with the rest of the Boston cluster if it had been allowed to do so, but
DOJ had antitrust concerns about the concentration of revenue that
Entercom would have retained. I'm not sure there was anything else in
the cluster that Entercom could have unloaded instead that would have
satisfied DOJ.
