Westinghouse bought CBS, in 1997.  The company subsequently spun off its
non-media components, and changed its name from Westinghouse Electric
Corporation to CBS Corporation.  I remember the night Dan Rather reported
that.

Today there are several different "Westinghouse" companies that do a
variety of things.  They all lease the Westinghouse name and trademark from
CBS, which still owns them.
