FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai says it is time to rewrite rules for AM

I disagree with the Commissioner on one major point - I am totally AGAINST
any amount of foreign ownership of US broadcasters.. There should be an
all-out ban on that.

He claims that only 20% of radio listening is from the AM band and for teens
it is 10%

He thinks anti-skywave antennas might be part of the solution which I
interpert as if installed a station can stay on daytime power and pattern.

He doesn't mention HD radio at all and frankly there is no good reason for
HD to exist on the AM side.

He also wants cross-ownership rules eliminated which is way overdue because
with grandfathering and waivers the rules are political.
