Back in the 50's, my Mom had a part time job with some TV ratings service
where she would call numbers already picked by the company at certain times.

On this Saturday afternoon everybody who was watching TV said they were
watching wrestling on channel 4. She felt sorry for the Red Sox and she
checked off channel 5 instead.

Wrestling was cancelled 6 weeks later.
