WBCN's earliest incarnation was circa 1958 as a classical music station, 
when the call letters stood for "Boston Concert Network."  The studios 
were on Newbury Street, and even then, they used to say that their 
transmitter was atop the John Hancock Building.  That was before there 
even was a Pru or a Hancock Tower.
