WPKZ To Air Yankees Games

980 in Troy hasn't been WTRY for decades. Currently, I believe that
station is WOFX (Fox spelled sideways--for Fox Sports, AFAIK). I don't
know if this is still the case, but at one time, the WTRY calls had
migrated to 98.3, which is a Class A licensed to Rotterdam. IIRC,
Rotterdam is a little way southwest of Schenectady, but I have no idea
where the WTRY-FM transmitter is located. WTRY-FM's HAAT is listed as
only 318', suggesting its not in the Heldebergs or on Bald Mountain
(former location of Channel 13). Long, long ago, WTRY AM and FM were
co-owned with Channel 13. Anyhow, I suspect that 6 kW at 318' isn't
quite enough to cover the entire Capital District market--especially
if Rotterdam is where I think it is and the 70 dBu contour has to
cover Rotterdam.
