I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere online but Wednesday's NH Union Leader carried an obit for former WBZ midday host Jay Dunn. He died Valentine's Day at Lakes Region General Hospital after a lengthy illness at the age of 78. It says his family moved to Shrewsbury in 1942 when Jay was 10. His on-air career began at WGAN in Portland in 1954 and included stops at WBZ, WGN Chicago, WCKY Cincinnati, WPEN and WIBG in Philadelphia, and WNEW New York.
The article omitted a brief stint as a talk host at WKBR in Manchester around 1976-77. He spent 17 years in Hilton Head, SC working in real estate before moving to Meredith, NH seven years ago. Services are Friday morning in Meredith.
