...and likewise, I-84 is in two distinct pieces:  the west branch (Portland OR to Echo UT) and the east branch (Dunmore PA to Sturbridge MA).

The piece of I-86 in New York is supplanting in parts, and will eventually replace in whole, NY-17 (the Southern Tier Expressway).
