Metro Networks Cuts In Boston

While we're on this subject: something that has never made sense to me is
why WBZ uses AccuWeather rather than the meteorologists of its sister TV
station. This has been the case for a long time now; I'm quite sure the
practice predates Westinghouse's purchase of CBS. Can anyone explain?
