I handle one from Audio Technica.  Although I haven't had first hand
experience with the turntable, I have used their cartridges and microphones
and found them to be overall very good.  I also have another one from
Gemini.  Their stuff tends to be a bit on the low-rent end of the scale.

Yes this could be a solution, but the build quality of the ION does
not inspire confidence, IMHO.
