report: NBC to sell Hartford, Miami TVs

I wonder if Hearst Argyle or Sunbeam would want to expand in New England by
buying NBC 30. Hearst owns an NBC affil in Central PA.

This will be the second time NBC sells its CT station.  The company owned
the station for a short time in the 50s.  Never heard of a company buying
and selling a station twice.

I believe Tribune's continued TV ownership in Hartford is questionable,
pending the outcome of proposed new ownership rules.  Tribune owns Fox and
CW affiliated stations and the Hartford Courant.  This market situation was
created earlier this decade when The Hartford Courant's parent,
Times-Mirror, merged with Tribune.
