From what I heard tonight, that's not quite true. The CBC, who had
tried for months to reach a deal with the composer, was going to make
one more attempt to negotiate a contract, when word came that CTV had
made the deal. This from The World at Six (Pacific Edition), as
heard on Sirius 137 tonight.
