WTRY, back in its Top 40 heyday, used to be owned by an outfit named Kops-Monahan Communications, which also owned WAVZ in New Haven. One of its principals, whose name was (I think) Richard Monahan, was originally from Fitchburg and was the brother of my sixth-grade teacher. Does anyone know what other stations, if any, Kops-Monahan owned? -Doug
