Yes, Jim Bonney was the cordial keeper of the kilocycles for many, many years at WBUR in the copper room.  Jim was more than just a talented and highly motivated 1st class engineer, he was one of the most kindly and helpful broadcast veterans who helped many an inept and neophyte radio broadcasters through their first days on the air.  It seemed he was always there to help a struggling student broadcaster. He was also a good friend to may of us.       Tom Heathwood  WBUR 1960-62.
