CBS Selling off 50 Stations

I used to have both WTIC AM & FM on my presets around here - the AM had Hartford Whaler hockey and pre-IBOC came in well during the day. The FM came in well around between Framingham and Marlboro.

Question whether, if WTIC becomes a WEEI affiliate, WVEI becomes 
superfluous.  I think WTIC's signal reaches well up the Pioneer 
Valley.  I've even heard it around Boston.
